MOTORHINO is a Danish motorcycle company - born electric.

We are passionate about climate impact and work tirelessly to help mitigate the global climate crisis. In 2020 we identified a climate catastrophy on wheels. Working in the field of energy renovation in West Africa we saw the negative impact of the two wheel transport that take up 80%-90% of the passenger transport in Sub Sahara Africa. And immediately started investigating possible means of transformation of the Sub Sahara traffic ecosystem. Mid 2020 we imported the first ever electric motorcycles to the Togolese marked for test and scrutineering. And we have not looked back since.

We now manufacture a green alternative to gasoline motorcycles and save the world one motorcycle at a time...

Africas 27 million motorcycles are a massive threat to the global climate. 80% of the motorcycle fleet is used as motorcycle taxis and operate up to 17 hours per day. In average the old ineficcient combustion engines running on fossil fuel, emit 5,5 Kg CO2 per day, resulting in a total emission of 1,9 Tons of CO2 annually per motorcycle.

MOTORHINO want to help improve the global climate and the local pollution problems in Africa. By operating solar and wind powered battery charging stations and battery swap kiosks, we want to contribute to;

- reduce the annual 1,1 million air pollution related fatalities

- end the annual fatality rate of 449.000 infants as a csuse of Particulate Matter

- reduce the 55.700+ traffic deaths in Africa caused by motorcycles

- improve safety and working conditions for motorcycle taxi drivers and their passengers

- improve connectivity for the 50+% of all Africans that live more than 2Km from an all season road

- improve the earnings for taxi drivers, by reducing operations- and maintenance costs on her/ his motorcycle

How will we do it?

Our overall approach is to comply with 6 of the UNs 17 Sustainable Development Goals and work actively in improving health, climate, gender equality, economy, use of resources and life on land, free from pollution. We are dedicated to empower individuals so that they can make a change and hopefully empower others to make a change too.

MOTORHINO operates a

Lease-to-own motorcycle sale of electric motorcycles. Primarily to TaxiE and Boda Boda/ Zemijan drivers.

MOTORHINO operates an APP based electric mobility service under the RHINO brand.

MOTORHINO operate electric charging stations and battery swap kiosks for RHINO motorcycles under the name of RHINO POWER.

MOTORHINO provides service, maintenance and repair through the network of RHINO POWER swap kiosks and charging stations.
